Tim Hinds.com was originally created for family members and friends to stop by and find out the latest information and gossip coming from us in Tennessee. But since this is on the Internet, it is also for anyone who is interested or just simply curious of what other people are like in the world.
The Summer 2008 Update
While it would be nice to do updates on this site on a monthly basis I have been focused on developing and maintaining other websites at this time. With that said I did not want to promise any kind of monthly update.
Our Easter camping trip went off as planned and we actually spent a couple extra days this time so we were not rushed to get back home. This turned out to be a very enjoyable trip and with those extra days it really helped us to take the time and simply relax.
Now that summer is upon us I will be hard pressed to keep this site updated much as my job has me booked up thru June and I would suspect more of the same in July and August. It is my hope to take a few vacation days at the end of June or early July to get some eye surgery done on my right eye. I first had this surgery done in 2006 and it did not take well on the right eye but went very well for the left. So it is our hope that this second surgery will work better.
Not much is planned for camping this season as my busy schedule and Terri's job will leave us no real vacation time anyway. Terri has fixed days off on Thursday and Friday each week so that does not work well for any weekend camping trips. Our best chance of a real vacation trip will be in October when Matthew will be on fall break from school.
My New Years Resolution: Officially starting on January 1st I (Tim) am on a diet to lose a great deal of weight. My wife did this last year and really looks good so it's my turn and my putting this out to the public is going to hopefully keep me motivated and disciplined to get it done. - To date I have lost 18 pounds, actually it was 20 but I keep fluctuating up and down a bit. Admittedly I am not doing much exercise so until I pick up the pace and get more physically active I doubt I will lose any more.
What's New!
Web projects have been the focus of any of my free time since the beginning of the year and I have spent the majority of it developing and maintaining my church website www.stcatherinecc.org with much of my time spent on photo gallery projects from activities within our parish.
I have continued with the other projects and we look to be just about ready to go into production with our current Gottago Expedite beta site.
The Birthday Calendar has not been updated as I would like to have planned but I will attempt to get it in order over the next few days.
Other than the new video on the home page the most notable change I have made is in the navigation menu at the top. With any luck I should be able to start adding more content back to the site and make it easier on me to link the pages to the navigation.

As we have made this a tradition, each year for the Easter weekend we take a trip to Jellystone Park in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The video is from outside our door at the campground.
