Probably the biggest event in our lives this year was the possible move to Farmington Hills Michigan.

It started out as a phone call from my boss asking me to come to her office as she had an offer for me that my company really wanted me to consider.  That offer was to take a job promotion in Farmington Hills as we have a large office complex there.

Now one of the reasons this was even brought up was due to the changes in business with Saturn and that as of June 2006 my job was to be ended, at least that was what everyone thought.

So I agreed to consider this promotion if the pay was right

and that I would not lose my shirt in moving to Michigan.

Without going into great detail and after a few more trips up to Farmington Hills we quickly realized that Ryder was not even going to come close to paying me what I would need to live there or even come close to equaling the current lifestyle I have in Tennessee today.

That said I turned down the promotion and was preparing to deal with finding a new job come summer.  But as fate would have it I was informed shortly after considering this position that I was budgeted thru 2006 and that as long as we have an office in Spring Hill, I would have a job.

Now I have been doing a great

Tim’s Job continues to change/Expand

This year my job with Ryder has really taken up my a lot of my time.  And it almost made me make what would have been a stupendous mistake by moving to Michigan.

However that behind us now I can say that my job has grown

from supporting just a few accounts to more than ten.  That has also caused me to do a lot of traveling to other states for days at a time.

Although working with these accounts has been a lot of fun it does pose problems with my

being home.  And as such Terri has changed her work schedule to accommodate Matthew’s care in my absence.  She and Matthew don’t really like me traveling but we realized that my traveling was much better then our living in Michigan.
