Happy 4th of July to you
Well here is the weekly update for the month of July, I'm so efficient that I only have to do this once a month. So I have made an executive decision, I will be updating this page on a monthly basis instead of weekly.
Next, what's been going on around the home. First is Christopher, since our last update we have done more tests and he has been put through a lot of discomfort and embarrassment. Now even I have to feel sorry for him, and would like to think that they are about done with these tests. And to top it all off, we have found absolutely nothing new and they still don't know why he lost all this iron. His iron count is starting to go back up after we put him back on an iron rich diet (Chris has to take prescription iron supplements) which the doctors decided to relax on a while back because they thought his iron count would go up without the prescription supplements. Suffice to say his count is still low which makes him unable to keep up with normal activity that a teenager does in a day. Also Christopher has celebrated his 15th birthday on the 3rd of this month, and that means we only have 3 years left before we can throw him a going away party. I clearly understand why we parents will spend all that money to send them to college.
Matthew is still being himself and having a good time doing it. Honestly he has been doing fine and it has been great to see the progress he is making on a social level. Even in the last 2 months I have seen Matthew interact with other people including myself in a fashion where he initiates a conversation and attempts to really explain his thought and ideas. Now we still have to work on the potty training which he understands, but simply does not want to do.
Terri has been working on finding something to do when Matthew goes to school fulltime this fall. She would like to get a job while he is in school to get her out of the house and bring in some extra cash. Terri has not decided exactly what she wants to do yet but has been doing a little looking around to see what the job market looks like. Other than that she has been doing well.
I am going out to Phoenix in a couple of weeks to spend time with mom and dad and to fix their cooler if it hasn't already been done. Dad has been having some leg pains which has made it difficult for him to get around, particularly in the attic where the problem with the cooler is suspected to be. This will also leave me a bit of time to visit other family members and friends while I'm there. Besides all that, I'm going because the ticket was only $175.00 round trip, that included all taxes and other charges that businesses put on them.
Well that's enough for now, so I am signing off and will update you all again in August
Tim
