As of this writing I am sitting here listening to Billy Joel's 52nd Street Album, which of course is on vinyl.  Yes folks these are real vinyl LP's (records), this is just one of the many projects I am suppose to be working on, and that is transferring all these records to CD's.  I seem to spend more time listening to them then putting the information on the CD, but I am rambling on, which is what this weeks update is all about.  I can't think of anything special going on around here so I thought that I would just write about what pops in to my head.  Actually as I have been getting older I have been getting more nostalgic if that's the correct term for this, but I seem to spend more time thinking and in some cases using things from my past.

For example these records I have been playing, I could have written the information to CD or cassette tape and listened to them, but I wanted to listen to this music on my turntable which is 20 years old.  And also consider my Atari computer, it is almost 20 years old as well, yet I made it a point this evening to take and play on it for a few minutes just to see it work.

Other things I do that appears to me to be part of aging is paying more attention to the history of my family and friends.  I suppose this is why genealogy is so much more popular with older people, as they have come to realize and have of course seen all the history that has happened in their lifetime and that each one has played a role in that history.

Now for me at this time in my life I look back 20 years and think of how much has changed in society, technology etc.  And I am confident that my father most likely looks back 30 or 40 years ago and he to must see how much has changed and that he was a part of that history.  Now don't get me wrong and think that I feel old (for you family members I am only 36), but I'm just beginning to really appreciate all of the different events that have happened in my lifetime and beyond.  Maybe this is why I think the group ABBA is still cool, or even more enjoyable is Neil Diamond. In any case that's what I have been thinking about tonight, now on to other news.

Well the kids are doing fine this week as today was Matthew's last day at school for a few weeks, Christopher has one more week before he begins his summer vacation.  We will be sending Matthew to summer school to keep his schedule structured, as this is an extremely important for most autistic children.  Chris is continuing to gain his strength back and is really looking fine now.  We still don't know what caused him to lose all the iron in his blood so we will be doing some more tests in a couple of weeks.  Terri is doing fine and so am I, so that covers everyone in this house besides the pets and they are all fine too.

Ok time to call it a night so you all take care
